Hi I’m Ben LaFreniere and I’m a first year student at the University of New England. I am 18 years old and I’m from Galway New York. I am a Marine Biology major and considering a minor in the science field. Before college I attended Galway Junior/Senior Highschool where I played baseball and ran cross country. I enjoy the outdoors, especially by the ocean, and hanging out with my friends. At the University of New England I also work in a research lab run by Professor James Sulikowski. In this lab I work with upper classman on research involving sharks and fish. My main goal is to have my own research project by sophomore year within the lab. My main interest in the field of Marine Biology is sharks and my goal is to research sharks during my time at UNE and the future.
